Privacy
What data we keep, what we use it for, and how you can control it.
Your account details
To create an account we store your username, email address, and password (encrypted, never in plain text). If you sign up with Google, we only receive the identifier and basic profile data that Google shares when you sign in.
Your documents and generated content
The PDFs and photos you upload, along with the summaries, outlines, flashcards, and tests generated from them, are private: only your account can access them. You can delete them at any time from Manage Documents.
Use of artificial intelligence
To grade tests, generate summaries, outlines, flashcards, and answer questions in the chatbot, we send the text of your notes to a third-party AI provider (OpenAI) solely to process that specific request. Your content is not used to train models.
Cookies
We distinguish two types of cookies. The necessary ones are always used and cannot be disabled: they keep you signed in, protect forms against CSRF attacks and remember your visual theme preference.
The third-party (analytics) cookies are
off by default and only turn on if you accept them in the
preferences banner. They are the site's own internal cookies (not
commercial or advertising): we use Google Analytics 4
(_ga, _ga_<id>) solely to find out
how much traffic we receive, how long people browse the site and how
far each visit gets, with the IP address anonymized. We do not use
them for advertising or to sell data. Since this is a Google
service, that processing is also governed by its
privacy policy.
You can change your decision about third-party cookies at any time from "Cookie preferences" in the footer.
Your rights
You can review and delete your documents from your account at any time. If you want to delete your account entirely or exercise any other right over your data, write to us from the contact page.
